Cheap Beer

i could try to comprehend
every day as it begins
or how my last days here will end
while my grandma's ashes rest
in some urn i've never seen
covered in old magazines
in some town where old men drink
cheap beer while they go fishing
and my mom used to sing me songs
just to shield me from the dawn
cause when the sunlight hit the lawn
she knew i would "up and gone"
cause if she could she'd call the cops
just to keep my feet from moving
so the good times just don't stop
and the good ole days just carry on
